Readings for kids - VIDEO 2 - The fable of the good lion
All kids know that the winged lion is a symbol for Venice... and the reason is very complicated: a lion with wings is fisrt of all the symbol of Saint Mark, the patron of the city, and so it is a associated with Venice itself!
Ernest Hemingway, who lived in Venice between 1948 and 1950, invented a story about the winged lion of Venice. It is a classic in literature, and not only for kids!
In this video, I am reading the Fable of the Good Lion by Hemingway for children.
Nice reading, and listening!
