Visit to the Academia Galleries for families
How it works: The Academia Galleries are waiting to be explored with their paintings by the great Venetian masters between the 13th and 19th centuries. Children will be given a mission to accomplish, which will make them carefully observe some of the museum's masterpieces.
The visit includes: a selection of the works exhibited in the permanent collection of the Academia Galleries, and in particular some masterpieces by Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese, Tiepolo and Canova.
What children will like: to find details in paintings, to solve mysteries, to hear stories of Saints, to see dragons and legendary animals
What adults will like: to admire Venetian art, to investigate upon the life and society of ancient Venice, to hear of the different interpretations of The Tempest by Giorgione, to get amazed in front of the Feast at the House of Levi by Veronese, to get advice on where to find other wonderful masterpieces!
What kids get in the end: an activity booklet that will help children memorize the names of the painters and the details of the artworks, a final souvernir!
