Leone di San Marco
Home / A lion hunt

Interactive activity in Venice for families, also suitable for younger children

How it works: The most representative symbol of the city is certainly the lion of Saint Mark! But how many are there across Venice?! This walk dedicated to children, over 4 and up to 11 years old, enables to explore St. Mark's Square and the Rialto area, and learn about many details concerning the history and art of Venice.

The itinerary includes:

  • Piazza San Marco with the Basilica and the Doge's Palace, the clock tower, the bell tower, the Bridge of Sighs and the prisons (all outdoors)
  • The Fenice theater
  • The Rialto Bridge
  • The Grand Canal

What children will love: to count lions, to be told stories, to walk across bridges and small alleys

What adults will like: to get a first contact with the history of Venice and to visit St. Mark's Square and the Rialto area with more aware eyes

What kids get in the end: an activity sheet to help you memorize the places and symbols encountered along the way, a small final gift!

Duration: 2 h

Fee (up to 4 people): from 200euros
